Game not Starting

Bought and downloaded this game - will not start past initial setup menu…..freezes and only way to quit is force quit through preferences. Running on MacbookPro with 2.6GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB RAM, 1024MB NVIDIA graphics card….all well above minimums. Clean uninstalled and re-downloaded total of 3 times with the same outcome. I would like a workaround solution or refund immediately. It was my understanding that Apple had all this tested in advance to avoid these issues.
